The Restricted Burning Period for the North East Sector of the City of Albany is in effect from 1 October 2024 to 14 November 2024. Permits are now required. 

The Restricted Burning Period for the South West Sector of the City of Albany will be in effect from 18 October 2024 to 14 December 2024.  Permits will be required.

Remember to register your burns with DFES on 9395 9209

Roadworks - Elleker-Grasmere Road

As part of the 2024/2025 capital works programme, the City of Albany is undertaking roadworks on Elleker-Grasmere Road.  The current scope includes:

 

  • Isolated pavement repairs
  • Shoulder widening; and
  • Sealing.

 

Works are expected to commence in January 2025 and expected to be completed by March 2025.

 

Road closures, with local traffic only and traffic controls, will be in place for the duration of the works.  The Contractor will endeavour to keep disruptions to a minimum and would appreciate your co-operation in working with on-site staff.
