The COA advises that the South West Sector has entered the Restricted Burning Period from 29 March 2025 up to and including midnight 14 May 2025 and all residents in the South West Sector planning a burn are required to apply for a burn permit from your local Bush Fire Brigade

Councillor Thomas Brough was elected to the City of Albany Council in 2021. 

Cr Brough is an emergency medicine Doctor, an active member of the Kalgan Bushfire Brigade and is involved in the community as a tree farmer.
