Unique partnerships with the University of Western Australia (UWA), the State Library of Western Australia (SLWA) and a collection of over 70,000 items put us in a strong position to meet the information needs of the public.

Our work doesn't begin and end at checking out books either; the library is equipped with computers to offer free internet access as well as printing and photocopying facilities that are open to the public with no membership required.

Albany Heritage Park

Albany Heritage Park was established by the City of Albany in 2010 to integrate various historical, natural, cultural and recreational assets located on Mount Clarence and Mount Adelaide.

The Park incorporates a range of significant pre- and post-European cultural and historical attractions – many with military connections – including Princess Royal Fortress, the Desert Mounted Corp Memorial, Padre White Lookout, and the Avenue of Honour.

The centenary of the First World War, and Albany’s place in the foundation of the Anzac identity, have focussed local, state and national attention on the site, leading to creation of a National Anzac Centre within the pre-existing Princess Royal Fortress.
