The City of Albany Corporate and Commercial Services directorate manages day to day City operations including finances, leasing and procurement, rates and payments, information technology and customer service.
Customer Services
The City of Albany strives to provide exceptional customer service. Customer Services is the first point of contact at the North Road Administration Office. The Customer Service staff can assist you to pay your rates, pay a fine, register a pet and much more.

Finance
The Finance department incorporates a broad range of activities focusing on providing accurate financial information, mitigating business risks, enhancing transparency and identifying business opportunities.
These activities include, but not limited to, the management of the City’s cash flow, budgeting and forecasting, management of investments, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, sourcing external funding, debt financing, financial controls, tax management, and financial reporting and analysis.
Rates
The Rates team is responsible for the assessment, billing, collection and recovery of council rates. This includes the issuing of rate notices and providing rating and land information when requested.

Procurement
The Procurement team plays an important role in ensuring the acquisition of the City’s goods and services are made fairly and transparently, adhering to applicable Local Government laws and Council endorsed policies. The team manages the procurement processes for tenders and major quotes, with the aim of ensuring purchases made achieve value for money and best quality for the City’s residents.
Information Technology
The IT team ensures technology within the City of Albany runs smoothly and efficiently. They also manage the City of Albany's websites and phone systems.
Records Management
The Records team maintain the City of Albany's electronic and hard copy filing system, they handle all incoming mail and distribute to the correct officer to be actioned.

Leasing
The Leasing team manages the City's property leasing portfolio as well as maintenance of all Council leased properties.
Albany (Harry Riggs) Regional Airport
The fastest way to travel to Albany from Perth is to fly. REX Airline flies daily to and from the newly upgraded Albany Airport. Private charter aircrafts are also available for hire. Albany Airport is located 11km north of Albany on Albany Highway, and car hire is available at the terminal.

Albany Visitor Centre
The Albany Visitor Centre provides information and a booking service for visitors to the area's stunning tourist destinations. Albany features pristine beaches, whale watching, wineries, wildflowers and national parks.
Staff with a commitment to tourism and a proven track record in customer service provide free information and advice. Staff manage all accommodation bookings within the centre, providing a seamless service to the public. This provides a central one-stop-shop for advice and bookings.

Economic Development
Economic Development supports initiatives that contribute to the growth and resilience of Albany’s economy.
Rangers and Emergency Services
The Ranger team's primary driver is Community Safety and this is achieved through encouraging and ensuring compliance with relevant State and Local Laws and the provision of logistical support for the Emergency Services area. Rangers monitor community compliance in a range or areas and investigate complaints. The rangers team take an education first philosophy where this is appropriate and follow this up with regulatory action including administrative controls, penalties and prosecution.
Environmental Health
The City’s Environmental Health team monitors and manages a wide range of aspects of the natural and man-made environment that may impact public health. This includes food safety, pollution management, development control, disease control and other factors that may impact the health of our community and its visitors.
