Albany Town Hall will be transformed into a spectacular wonderland of glamour, surrealism, and spectacle when The Huxleys’ highly anticipated exhibition, Fantastic Voyage arrives in town.

Fantastic Voyage is a dazzling retrospective of The Huxleys’ decade-long career in photography, film, performance, and costume, taking audiences on a journey through their world of disco-infused
wizardry, and unrelenting creative expression.

The Huxleys, a duo known for their extravagant, theatrical, and artistic approach, bring their signature sparkle to this exhibition, delivering a powerful message of escapism and self-expression.

The artists have made their mark nationally, exhibiting and performing across Australia including at Dark Mofo (Hobart), National Gallery of Victoria, HOTA, Home of the Arts (Gold Coast) and Carriageworks (Sydney).

Fantastic Voyage features work from Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams, a 10-year retrospective presented at Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre, curated by Pete Volich, Exhibitions Manager.

Albany Town Hall extends its gratitude to Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre for their generous support and contribution to Fantastic Voyage.

The Huxleys believe in the power of art to transport people to new worlds.

“We want to take our audiences to places where self-expression is limitless and where too much is never enough,” they said.

“Fantastic Voyage is a love letter to those who dare to dream, to those who embrace the extraordinary, and to the beautiful chaos of creativity.”

Visitors can immerse themselves in the captivating exhibition at Albany Town Hall from 22 February until 22 March, and audiences are invited to attend two ticketed events.

The opening night will take place from 6pm on Friday, 21 February and an artist talk by The Huxleys will be held at 3pm on Saturday, 22 February.

Fantastic Voyage is part of the 2025 Albany Pride Festival. Registrations are essential and can be made at albanypridefestival.com.au
