Witness the wonder of Patricia Piccinini’s Skywhale and Skywhalepapa—two breathtaking hot air balloon sculptures, as they come to life in the golden light of sunrise.
Join the early morning celebrations at this unforgettable community event. Bring a blanket and thermos or grab a coffee, then settle in to watch these gentle giants slowly lift from the ground and, weather permitting, soar above the sky's of Albany.
Skywhales Across Australia is a National Gallery Touring Event, proudly supported by the Australian Government through Visions of Australia and the National Collecting Institutions Touring Outreach Program.

Gates open to the public at 5:15am
Event start time at 5:40am
Event finish time at 6:00am
Parking: Available at Retravision Stadium, P2 carpark.
