The Auto One Targa Albany Sprint enables competitors to attack a challenging ~3km road course from Hybla up the hillside set against some of The Great Southerns most stunning backdrops, while the Auto One Targa Quaranup Sprint sees cars compete over a 2.5km course up to the historic Camp Quaranup.
Now in its 4th year, the Auto One Targa Albany Sprints have now become the ‘must do’ event for Competitors & Spectators wanting an action packed weekend of Motorsport in Albany.
SUNDAY, 6 MARCH
Targa West Pty Ltd under the sanctioning of Motorsport Australia and with support from local authorities including the City of Albany, will be holding the Auto One Targa Albany Sprint event on Quaranup Road between Shoal Bay Retreat and Camp Quaranup on Sunday, 6th March, 2022.
This event forms part of the Auto One Targa Albany Sprints weekend of motorsport in Albany and whilst it will be the first time on Quaranup Road, it is the 4th year the event has visited Albany.
Quaranup Road, between Shoal Bay Retreat and Camp Quaranup, will be closed from 10.00am until 5.00pm on Sunday, 6th March only.

MONDAY, 7 MARCH
Targa West Pty Ltd under the sanctioning of Motorsport Australia and with support from local authorities including the City of Albany, will be holding the Auto One Targa Albany Sprint event between Middleton Beach and Mount Adelaide on Monday, 7th March, 2022.
This event forms part of the Auto One Targa Albany Sprints weekend of motorsport in Albany and will be the 4th year the event has visited Middleton Beach.
To hold the event and complete preparation work to meet best-practice motorsport safety standards, Auto One Targa Albany Sprint will need to close a number of roads and carparks within the Middleton Beach and Mount Adelaide areas.
ROAD & CARPARK CLOSURE
These road and carpark closures are proposed to be closed from 6.00am until 6.00pm on Monday, 7th March only.
- Flinders Parade from Middleton Road to Adelaide Crescent
- Adelaide Crescent from Golf Links Road to Flinders Parade
- Marine Terrace from Middleton Road to Adelaide Crescent
- Marine Drive from Flinders Parade to Burgoyne Road
- Forts Road
Middleton Beach Boardwalk will stay open.
Auto One Targa Albany Sprint organisers appreciate the community’s support and patience during the running of this event and will make every effort to minimise disruption to the area. Overflow carparking will be available on the day at Eyre Park and Albany Golf Course off Wollaston Road.
ACCESS TO ALBANY HERITAGE PARK & NATIONAL ANZAC CENTRE
The National Anzac Centre will be CLOSED during the event, and there is no access to The Albany Heritage Park (The Forts) between 6am to 6pm.
