The Restricted Burning Period for the North East Sector of the City of Albany is in effect from 1 October 2024 to 14 November 2024. Permits are now required. 

The Restricted Burning Period for the South West Sector of the City of Albany will be in effect from 18 October 2024 to 14 December 2024.  Permits will be required.

The Department of Home Affairs is pleased to present a free regional business information session on Thursday 21st November 2024 focusing on skilled visa programs and workforce options including the new WA Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA). These sessions will be delivered in partnership with the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD), Regional Development Australia (RDA), and AusIndustry Great Southern to support regional business and industry.

The session has been tailored for regional employers to better understand the skilled visa options available to them, including direct employer sponsored visa programs and other skilled visa options including the WA State DAMA program.

Information about other State and Commonwealth programs available for regional industry and business will also be provided by a range of panel speakers at this event in Albany.
