The Restricted Burning Time in the Northeast Sector of the City of Albany has been lifted, as of today, Tuesday 22nd April 2025, where burn permits are no longer required. All other conditions under the Bush Fire Act 1954 and must maintained.  The Southwest Sector of the City of Albany is still in the Restricted Burning Period up to and including Wednesday 14th May 2025.

Join us to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Princess Royal Fortress Military Museum with the firing of our 9-pounder gun.
Experience the resounding booms of formidable World War 1 weaponry and take the opportunity to reflect on the evolution of the site.
The Princess Royal Fortress Military Museum was opened as part of Australia's Bicentenary in 1988 and had over 60 years operational service prior.
The gun will fire with military precision at 12-noon sharp.
