Proposed Temporary Road Closure: Sleeman Avenue

 PROPOSED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

 SLEEMAN AVENUE, MIRA MAR

 Under Section 3.50(1)(a) of the Local Government Act 1995, a local government may, by public notice, order that a thoroughfare it manages be closed to the passage of vehicles exceeding 4 weeks.

 Sleeman Avenue road, services and private properties have been significantly impacted by a land slip event.

The road has been temporarily closed under section 3.50(1) with access only being allowed to local residents who reside on Sleeman Avenue until the road has been repaired and the area stabilised.

Therefore, the City of Albany intends to extend the short term road closure for a period of 12 months, starting Friday 12 November 2021 to Friday 12 November 2022.

The whole of Sleeman Avenue from the intersection with Hanson Road to the intersection with Wakefield Crescent will be temporarily closed to all vehicles with the exception of allowing access to Sleeman Avenue residents only.
