Need a Green Bin?

Albany’s residential bin system is changing to a Food Organics & Garden Organics (FOGO) system later this year. This means that you’ll be able to put your food scraps along with your garden prunings into your green waste bin, which will be collected for processing into compost.

To be able to use the FOGO service, your household will need to have a lime-green lidded green waste bin. Don’t already have a green waste bin? From this Friday 26 Feb, for a limited time you can purchase a green bin from Fossicker’s Tip Shop for the discounted price of $50. Stock is limited, so pop in during the shop opening hours to secure your bin.

Please bring your proof of address.

If you’re renting, please contact your property manager to let them know you need a bin.
