Having only formed last year, the AAG Printmaking Group is exhibiting together for the first time. Communication, has been linked to printmaking over time, from hieroglyphs pressed into clay, to the invention of the printing press and periodicals. Printmaking methods have enabled the bringing together of ideas across distances and across time, creating a web of interconnectedness. The group have challenged themselves to communicate in the form of images, symbols and words using traditional and contemporary printmaking methods, found and new materials.
