Introduction to Life Writing/Memoir

Have you been wanting to write your memoir or life story? In this workshop, through a combination of teaching and writing exercises, you’ll learn what makes a good memoir and how to start writing your own. The course will cover themes, how to get words down in a first draft, redrafting and editing, finishing with a brief overview of publication options. Suitable for beginner writers


Introduction to Short Story Writing
Thursday 12th September
5pm-8pm
Do you aspire to write a story but don’t know how to begin? This session combines teaching with writing activities and you’ll learn the basics of writing short fiction stories. The session will include where to find story ideas, getting words down in a first draft, and developing characters and plot.
Suitable for beginner writers. 


Bring Your Characters to Life
Wednesday 9th October
12.30pm-3.30pm
Learn how to create believable three-dimensional characters for your short story, novel or life story through teaching and writing activities. Learn why characters’ motivations and strengths and weaknesses are important. Plus learn how to write dialogue and emotions.
Suitable for beginner/emerging writers of fiction and life story.
