The Restricted Burning Period for the North East Sector of the City of Albany is in effect from 1 October 2024 to 14 November 2024. Permits are now required. 

The Restricted Burning Period for the South West Sector of the City of Albany will be in effect from 18 October 2024 to 14 December 2024.  Permits will be required.

Roadworks - Vancouver Road

The City of Albany is undertaking works on Vancouver Road (Goode Beach) as it is narrow and structurally failing in numerous places.  It requires full reconstruction including widening, sealing and kerbing.

Stage 1 works will commence in October 2024 with completion due at the end of December 2024.  These works include:

  • Drainage and culvert upgrades;
  • Localised pavement reconstruction.

 

Stage 2 works will commence in mid-January 2025 with completion due in March 2025.   These works include:

 Road pavement reconstruction;

  • Two coat seal;
  • Installation of new kerbing;
  • Linemarking.

 

There will be traffic delays during the works, however the City will endeavour to minimise these impacts where possible.
