City of Albany
Reusable Nappy Incentive
A child can use around 4,000 nappies during their younger years – and these nappies take at least 150 years to decompose in landfill[1].
Modern cloth nappies provide a range of options without a safety pin in sight to not only prevent pollution, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and divert large amounts of waste from landfill, but also save individuals and families a lot of money.
That’s why the City of Albany is offering residents a rebate of 50% (up to $100 per household) on the purchase of reusable cloth nappies to help families try them as an alternative to disposables. The rebate scheme will run as a trial from 19 November 2021 until further notice or allocated funds are exhausted.

Only reusable cloth nappies will be considered for this rebate. Accessories, for example wipes and wet bags, are not included. Postage costs are also not included.
How many items can I claim?
You can claim any and all eligible products that are on the eligible items list and that have been purchased on or after 19 November 2021. The rebate amount is 50% of the purchase price and is capped at a maximum of $100 per household.
