Albany Public Library is proud to be a collection point for the 2022 Albany Women's Centre Kare Kits, in support of women and children affected by family violence in the Albany regional area. We have a collection box near the front counter until 8 April, waiting to be filled with your generous donations!
WHAT TO DONATE?
For this year’s donation drive, some of the items that have been identified as being highly valuable are:
• Full sized toiletry items such as shampoo, conditioner (2in1 Shampoo/Conditioner are great), toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shower gel. (Please no travel size or tester size products)
• MASKS - for these COVID times
• Children’s clothing, underwear and sleepwear in various sizes for both boys and girls, in brand new condition (not used)
• Children’s school items such as bags, lunch boxes and drink bottles in brand new condition (not used)
Vouchers from Department stores such as Kmart, Coles, and Woolworths are always gratefully received to provide items such as clothing, underwear, footwear, toiletries, etc. These vouchers could also be used to assist women in setting up a new home when escaping Domestic Violence. These can be left at Anglicare - 44 Collie Street.
The Kare Kits donation drive is a partnership between Albany Women's Centre (Refuge) and Albany Soroptimists.
