Schools Centenary Commemoration of Armistice
Approximately 2000 students from 26 schools across the region will participate in a combined schools Remembrance Day parade down York Street. Following this, the students will congregate in Anzac Peace Park for a memorial service. Part of this event will include a unique Bell and Cross Ceremony where 100 students will hold names of each soldier listed on the WWI memorial and will form a human cross within Anzac Peace Park.
Remembrance Day Troop March & Memorial Service 2018
A troop march down York Street including Australian Defence Force personnel, cadets and representatives will commemorate the Centenary of Armistice. The march will be followed by a commemorative service in Anzac Peace Park.
