The Sank Run - Thanks to Nic Duncan for this great imageThe City of Albany currently has four skate parks catering to all abilities ranging from the historic Hare Street 'Skate Track' to the regional 'Albany Sk8 & BMX Park'.

We ask all skate park users to obey safety signs which includes the wearing of helmets on all Albany parks.

Features street style course up to 1.5m high alongside a tight configuration of bowls and quarterpipe. Includes small beginner section as well as hips and rails for the more experienced park users.

Park is under lights until 9pm every night and also features a live web cam of the park.

Albany is home to the historic Snake Run, reputedly the oldest skate park in the world still in use. Hare Street appears regularly in skate magazines featuring international skaters. Hare Street is quite a fast run with vert walls and hip, and is suitable for the intermediate to advanced skaters.

Mill Park is home to a small skate park with flat banks, grind rail, grind box and a small bowl. A community BMX pump track is also located adjacent to the park.

Located off Parker Street, Lake Weerlara is a small bowl. It is mainly for beginners, but more advanced skaters and BMXers will still have fun using this park from time to time.

The last skate, BMX and scooter competition was held Saturday 19 November 2016.

Congratulations to everyone who participated and those who took home prizes.

The next competition will be held in November 2017.
