Albany residents encouraged to be active this winter image

3 July 2017

Active Albany is a unique and innovative program offering a range of diverse and affordable activities, competitions, groups and workshops designed to help community members become more active and healthy on a daily basis.

Coordinated by the City of Albany, Active Albany will engage a number of committed community individuals, coaches, business and health professionals across our region who are passionate about the benefits of physical and mental activity.

The Active Albany winter program includes activities such as yoga, dance, corporate games, bushwalking, chess, Frisbee golf and much more.

Albany Mayor Dennis Wellington said he hoped the program would encourage people to take the first step towards living a more active and healthy lifestyle.

“We hope residents will jump on board this fantastic opportunity to try something new and explore different forms of exercise,” Mayor Wellington said.

The Active Albany Winter Holiday program is available at www.albanyleisurecentre.com.au or in hard copy at Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre.
