Companion Animal Behaviour Practitioner Charlotte Smithson Presents: A Common Sense Approach to Handling and Managing Dogs and Cats.

Though aimed at the professional industry this full weekend of up-to-date scientific information on handling and managing dogs and cats will be of interest to anyone who owns a dog/cat or works within the pet care sector.

Topics include: learning theory, managing stress, canine and feline communication and body language, miscommunication between dogs and humans, low stress handling, dominance theory, common training problems and solutions, training techniques, enrichment strategies, training and handling cats.

Plus training dogs to ‘detect’, ‘come away from’ and ‘indicate’ that a snake is in close proximity, utilising positive reinforcement training.
