The role of the City of Albany’s Environmental Health Officers is to manage the public environmental health risks. Public Buildings and Accommodation all need to meet acceptable standards and this is accessed during development stage and also periodical inspections.
Any construction, extension or alteration of public buildings must first be approved by the City of Albany's Environmental Health section.
Many issues should be checked before making any changes to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
Any lodging house, short-term hostel, recreational campsite or serviced apartments will need to comply with the City of Albany's health local laws and other relevant regulations. As planning approval may also be required, please contact the City of Albany to discuss your proposal.
